Fairmont Heritage Place - Ghirardelli Square

My stay at Fairmont Heritage Place at Ghirardelli Square was outstanding. The property was very historic with stunning views of the bay and Alcatraz from the terrace. The service was great!! everyone encountered was warm and committed to making my visit memorable. The location in Ghirardelli Square is unbeatable, I had easy access to various restaurants and all within walking distance. If you’re looking for a residence-style hotel in the heart but quieter part of the city, this is it.

Staying here exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were way better than anticipated (roomy, tasteful, well-equipped), the staff was exceptional (anticipating our needs or happily fulfilling them), and the location was totally convenient (easy to walk, uber, or drive to great neighborhoods). Walking the dog through Fort Mason and watching those hardy people swimming near Maritime Park (in December) were memorable perks we never expected.

We had an absolutely wonderful time again this year! Everyone was SO helpful and kind and all of our family and friends TRULY enjoyed themselves. The residences were absolutely beautiful! The front desk team couldn't have been more helpful and effortlessly checked us in. Everyone from the bellman to valets were just terrific with smiles that truly reflected the holiday season. FLAWLESS across the board!! So grateful and we'll definitely be back!!!

We had a wonderful trip to San Francisco, and the hotel’s central location near major tourist attractions made it even better. Our stay was overall great, the staff were friendly and eager to help, we enjoyed spending time in the guest lounge, visiting the Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, and relaxing in our spacious suite with a fully equipped kitchen, which was especially convenient as we have vegetarians in the family. We also appreciated having access to laundry facilities before continuing our US trip. However, our experience was marred when our room wasn’t cleaned despite providing a specific time for housekeeping. While the reception apologized, the explanation given that a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign was on the door was untrue. We never placed such a sign, and there wasn’t one when we returned. After a long day, walking into an uncleaned room and hearing an inaccurate excuse was disappointing. Though the staff later provided fresh towels and cleared the trash, the false explanation was never addressed. For a property of such reputation and price, this lapse was quite disappointing.

Worth the money. Hotel staff was lovely, they helped guide our SF trip! We got blessed with good weather! Looking forward to another Fairmont visit in Sonoma in a few days.

Amazing Fairmont Hotel with outstanding hospitality and a warm boutique feel. Fun social events like wine & cheese twice a week, full service gym and friendly and accommodating staff. Residence rooms allow for cooking, entertaining and the feel of a second home in SF. Prime location with varied retail shops, restaurants, coffee shop, wine bar (serving delicious local wines), and an outdoor, craft brew pub. Great for families and singles. Highly recommend!

Fairmont at Ghiradelli has to be one of the best hotels in San Francisco. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are first class with a lot of amenities not found in regular hotel rooms. The shared spaces and happy hour festivities are also top notch. To round it all out, the location is iconic with amazing views of the Bay as well as easy access to all that Fisherman's Wharf has to offer. I think everyone needs to stay at this hotel once, and they will understand why this is a quintessential San Francisco hotel!
